After the annihilation of the Savannah State Tigers 54-0 Saturday, players and fans envision a bright future for the 2016 season.

On Saturday the Savannah State Tigers took on the Georgia Southern Eagles in a yearly rematch. The Georgia Southern Eagles tallied up 6 rushing touchdowns against a poor Savannah State defense. This enabled Georgia Southern to tie for 3rd overall in NCAA FBS total rushing offenses.

Fans are pleased with the results, Raymond Harding a Senior business management major at Georgia Southern was in attendance on Saturday. He was ecstatic with Coach Tyson Summers progress. “I love how we are putting Favian Upshaw’s arm to work”  stated Harding. “These offensive changes have completely changed our run heavy gameplan of 2015, I expect another bowl appearance”. Trevor Steede is also a Senior business management major at Georgia Southern. “I believe our new coach has brought new life into this old program” Steede states.  He noticed the positive change in our defensive secondary, “finally we have a defense that doesn’t get burned every 3rd down.”

LA Ramsby is a Georgia Southern’s number two running back on the depth chart as well as a Junior Sport Management major at Georgia Southern. He is responsible for 13 touchdowns in the 2015 season. While he didn’t play in Saturday's contest due to a personal leave, he has high expectations for the new season.  When asked about the blowout this past weekend Ramsby stated, “I feel good about the victory, but we have a lot of more work to do because conference play (South Alabama Jaguars) is next week”.  Ramsby was also asked about his performance and goals for the 2016 season. “I would like to score another 13 touchdowns as well as rush for 1000+ yards.” He states.   Ramsby is also excited about Coach Tyson Summers new system.  “I like the fact that now we have established a minor passing offense which take the pressure off me and Brieda”

The Georgia Southern Eagles play the Central Alabama Jaguars on September 9th in Mobile, Alabama.
